24 JUNE 2019

O80 BARCELONA FASHION

ON THE WAY TO ITS 24TH EDITION

It's that time of the year again with the 24th 080 Barcelona Fashion set to take place from the 25th to 28th June. Another promsing edition that counts on the support of the Business and Knowledge Department, through the Trade, Craftsmanship and Fashion Consortium (CCAM), highlighting the value of two important notions: on the one hand, the tradition that defines the textile industry in Catalonia; and, on the other, the Catalonian prestige, with Barcelona's design and fashion legacy.

Like every edition, professional figures of the national and international fashion scene, media bloggers, buyers, journalists, digital influencers, and the general public will immerse in a four-day appointment with the Catalan fashion realm and its protagonists.

The event will bring together renown Catalan Fashion labels, welcoming back amongst them the winners of the last winter edition to present their new collections. The runway shows will unfold within the architecturally magnificent setting of Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona from 25th to 27th June and will focus on three key themes: Sustainable Fashion, Circular Economy, and Fash-Tech.

The 24 fashion designers and brands that will participate in this anticipated 24th 080 Barcelona edition are (in alphabetical order): Agnés Sunyer - with her feminine and urban womenswear; All Sisters; All That She Loves; Antonio Miro - winner of the Best Collection Award for "Rock"; Aubergin - with their designs that mix ethics, sustainability and craftsmanship; Brain&Beast - with a fashion show meant to leave us in awe; Como un Pez en el Agua; Custo Barcelona - with the brand's collections for men and women; Escorpion Studio Barcelona; Eñaut; Guillermina Baeza; Killing Weekend; Krizia Robustella - with her sport deluxe for men and women; Laura Vecino; Lebor Gabala - with its personal take on womenswear, with knitwear as the main element; Maite by Lola Casademunt; Mans Concept Menswear - winner in the Emerging Design category three times in a row; Menchén Tomàs - with its chic prêt-à-porter for woman; Narbon; Naulover; Oscarleon; Sonia Carrasco; Teoh & Lea - with casual chic fashion creations; and Txell Miras

As the tradition has it, the catwalk will also honor well-known names as Naulover; Maite by Lola Casademunt - with her trendy designs for woman, and Escorpion Studio Barcelona - with her versatile and elegant fashion. Additionally, in this edition will debut new fashion names like designer Sonia Carrasco - with her minimal, modern and sustainable fashion, Narbon - a demi-couture and fair-fashion brand, along with emerging designer Eñaut.

Prizes will be awarded to the best collections, the best emerging designer, and leading international brand.

On 080 Barcelona's closing day, the runway shows will change the scenery by moving to the new Port Marina Vela on Barcelona's waterfront to present the swimwear collections as part of 080 Barcelona Fashion Beach.

The new summer fashion proposals with combine well-known and new names, such as Guillermina Baeza and Como un Pez en el Agua joined by All Sisters - a sustainable swimwear brand of international projection and partner with Victoria's Secret, as well as designer Laura Vecino - who will make her debut on the runway with her first beachwear collection, and All That She Loves - a brand with the style of the Costa Brava.

The event's vision and concept to promote the culture of Fashion and its connection with other cultural and creative industries by bringing the Fashion reality closer to the citizens will also be complemented through the presence of the 080 Fashion Showroom, the exhibition and marketing space of professionals.

The offshoots of this 24th 080 Barcelona? New trends and collections for the upcoming seasons, an inspiring sense of style, and above all a context for connection, networking, and stimulation, reminding us that Fashion is a language that can help us express our individuality as well as position ourselves within today's reality.
